Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 1 August 2026

This policy keeps the diagnostic service safe and reliable for everyone. It forms part of the Terms of Service.

01Permitted use

Use Weglam to diagnose vehicles you own, operate or service with the owner's permission, and to prepare reports for a workshop visit.

02Uploads

Only upload photos, recordings and vehicle data you have the right to share. Do not upload personal documents, identity papers or images of people who have not consented.

03Prohibited activity

The following will result in suspension without refund of spent credits.

  • Reselling, scraping or redistributing diagnostic output as your own automated service.
  • Reverse engineering, probing or overloading the platform, including automated request floods.
  • Uploading malware, or content that is unlawful, abusive or infringing.
  • Using the service to certify roadworthiness, to falsify inspection records or to mislead a buyer about a vehicle.
  • Sharing one account across a commercial fleet in order to bypass credit pricing.

04Safety-critical decisions

Do not rely on the service alone for brakes, steering, airbags, fuel systems or any condition flagged as critical. Stop driving and consult a qualified mechanic when the assessment says so.

05Fair processing limits

Automated or bulk submissions may be rate limited so that interactive diagnoses stay fast for all users.

06Reporting abuse

Report misuse or a security issue to [email protected]. We investigate every report and act proportionately, from a warning to permanent account closure.

Answer

Does Weglam replace a mechanic?

No. It gives you likely causes, severity and questions to ask. Any safety-critical condition should be inspected professionally before you drive or buy parts.
